We are experts in historic preservation, architectural
history, and urban planning with many years of professional
experience.
Victoria Granacki, Principal, AICP, has almost 30 years of experience
in master planning, urban design, and historic preservation activities
in both Chicago and its surrounding suburban communities. In 1992,
Ms. Granacki formed Historic Certification Consultants in partnership
with Architectural Historian, Susan Benjamin. The firm provided a
variety of historic preservation services for local governments and
private property owners for over ten years, including architectural
surveys, National Register nominations, and historic resource reports.
Recently Ms. Granacki formed a new business, Granacki Historic
Consultants, providing preservation services with a focus on Chicago
neighborhoods and nearby suburban communities. Ms. Granacki serves on the Board of Directors, Landmarks Preservation Council of Illinois; Urban
Development Committee, Metropolitan Planning Council; Chicago's 44th Ward Community Directed
Development Committee. She holds a BA in Art from Mundelein College (of Loyola University) in
Chicago, and a MS in Urban Planning from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI.

Jennifer Kenny, Preservation
Specialist, was on the staff of Historic Certification Consultants
as Preservation Specialist for nine years. At HCC, she was the principal
field surveyor and researcher for the firm providing research, writing,
and other assistance for impact studies, landmark and National Register
nominations and Certificate of Rehabilitation applications. Ms. Kenny
retains the position of Preservation Specialist at Granacki Historic
Consultants where she continues her established areas of preservation
expertise as well as further hones her research and writing skills.
Prior to working at Historic
Certification Consultants, she held the position of Program Assistant
with the Southern Regional Office of Historic Landmarks Foundation
of Indiana, a statewide non-profit historic preservation organization. Ms. Kenny is an Illinois licensed real estate salesperson and serves on the Board of Directors of the Ridge Historical Society in the Beverly
neighborhood of Chicago. She holds a BA in Urban Planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-
Champaign and an MS in Historic Preservation from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.

Lara Ramsey, Preservation Assistant, has over four years of experience in the field of historic preservation. Ms. Ramsey began her work in North Carolina, where she held a staff position with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission. During her time in North Carolina, Ms. Ramsey also provided preservation services, including local landmark designation reports and architectural surveys, to local governments and property owners. In 2001, Ms. Ramsey moved to Chicago to pursue a graduate degree in Historic Preservation. At the same time, she has worked as an independent preservation consultant, providing services that include preparation of Certificate of Rehabilitation applications, National Register nominations, and architectural surveys. Ms. Ramsey holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has completed coursework toward an MS in Historic Preservation at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
